Initially teased in 2022, fans will finally get a glimpse at how the journey of an NBA bad boy to one of the most thriving entrepreneurs began for Barnes. The NBA champ also plays the role of the executive producer for the show. Speaking of the docuseries, Barnes shared how the transition has been smooth as he kept taking strides. While some investments were his first step, he jumped onto taking a role behind the microphone. And then obviously, this followed his duty to be a more present father for his kids. “I felt like you know I played 15 years, happened to win a championship with the Warriors and I just felt like you know, there was other stuff that I wanted to do,” Barnes said, via Marc Lamont Hill on TheGrio. Shedding more light on the other things that he wanted to do in life, he added, “One particularly me just being more present father and being able to do the small things with my kids.” The former Golden State Warriors player is known for his presence at Showtime Sports’ podcast All the Smoke Podcast. Before that, he made an appearance on ESPN’s The Jump and Get Up. Apart from his business pursuits, Barnes is also associated with charity work. He founded the Athletes vs. Cancer, in honor of his mother whom he lost to Stage 4 lung cancer in 2007.
